Robert F. Samuels Jr., also known as Bobby Trendz, is the visionary founder and chief creative officer of The BT Collective Agency, a cutting-edge creative firm located in SoHo, NY, specializing in content creation and brand strategy.
Bobby Trendz is a seasoned creative director, scenic designer, brand strategist, and social media consultant with over a decade of experience. He has collaborated with renowned personalities and brands such as Wynton Harvey, Salvatore Ferragamo, Neiman Marcus, Lindsey Brittain Collins, Ron David Studio, and Elly Karamoh, showcasing his talent in developing, designing, and enhancing his clients' brands. Moreover, Bobby Trendz has participated in special projects with Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week and Hirshleifers (Cordell Broadus) and has also organized Fashion Mixers, Creative Webinars, and Enrichment Symposiums to promote self-worth, brand awareness, and networking.
In 2023, Bobby Trendz launched his popular talk series "ART OF DESIGN." This unique series highlights the voices of Black and Brown designers who are shaping the future of creativity. Each discussion provides intimate insights into their career paths and deep dives into their design philosophies, serving as a profound source of inspiration. The series has partnered with Soho House, The Gathering Spot, IPG Health, and more, hosting events in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles.
Bobby Trendz and The BT Collective, a dynamic and innovative creative group, engage with an expansive array of extraordinary creative minds. Moreover, they have established strategic partnerships with renowned companies and brands such as IPG Health, Soho House, The Gathering Spot, and Chaz Jordan. The BT Collective Agency played a significant role in the success of natural haircare brand, Aunt Jackie's Curls and Coils’ social presence and market reemergence. Managing all Special Projects and Organic Social Media for the brand was a groundbreaking achievement. In this capacity, Bobby initiated and produced the talk series "Rooted Conversations" in partnership with Soho House; the company successfully hosted two "rooted moments" at Dumbo House and Soho House in New York. Additionally, Bobby worked with VP Monique Salas to form partnerships with Black and AAPI designers such as Sami Miro Vintage and Bach Mai during New York Fashion Week ss24; this led to a feature in Essence Magazine in September 2023, recognizing the company's dedication to promoting diversity and inclusion on the runway. In October 2023, Bobby and BTC served as the Creative Directors of Aunt Jackie's "Braid and Twist Collection," which later earned the Best Brand and Beauty Launch of 2024 award from Ebony Magazine.
